N-Dubz are leading the field at this year's Urban Music Awards with five nominations. The Mobo-winning hip-hop group are nominated for Best Album, Best Group, Most Inspiring Act, Best Music Video for Wouldn't You and Best Collaboration for Number 1, their chart-topping song with Tinchy Stryder. X Factor winner Alexandra Burke received three nods - Best Newcomer, Best RnB Act and Best Music Video for her hit with Flo Rida, Bad Boys. Jordan Kensington, CEO of Urban Music Awards, said: "This year, we celebrate UK urban music going pop - there is no denying when we launched in 1999 to support 100 per cent UK acts, there was hardly any awards show or platform in support for UK music. "We worked extremely hard to make sure UK urban music got its deserving place in pop culture and we are proud to see acts we gave coverage to via our magazines, radio, and the UMAs 10 years ago make it Top 10 in the charts and are now well known names in every single household." The ceremony, now in its seventh year, celebrates the best of urban music and will be held at a secret location in London on November 1. musicnews.virginmedia.com/entertainment/news/music/2009/10/13/five_uma_nominations_for_n_dubzVOTE HERE; www.urbanmusicawards.net/uk_vote_now.php
